CEO of Better Path Homes

When you meet Zachary Betters, you immediately understand why Better Path Homes looks and operates the way it does. Fast‑thinking, high‑energy, and always ten steps ahead, Zach leads with a mix of vision, intensity, and humility – the kind of leadership that doesn’t need a spotlight but absolutely deserves one.

As CEO and co‑founder, Zach has spent more than a decade building Better Path Homes into a company known for integrity, transparency, and a genuine commitment to helping homeowners. What started as a small operation in Charlotte has grown into a multi‑market team serving sellers, buyers, and communities with a standard Zach set from day one: do the right thing, even when it’s hard.

A Builder at Heart – In Every Sense

Zach’s background spans construction, real estate investing, and business development – but before all of that, he worked in healthcare as a Physician Assistant. That experience shaped the way he leads today: listening first, solving problems quickly, and treating every person with dignity, no matter their situation.

Whether he’s walking a property in the rain, taking a tough phone call, or helping a team member think through a challenge, Zach brings the same mindset he carried in medicine: be present, be accountable, and leave things better than you found them.

Leading With Vision and Extreme Ownership

Inside the company, Zach is known for his clarity. He doesn’t sugarcoat, he doesn’t overcomplicate, and he doesn’t ask anyone to do something he wouldn’t do himself. His focus is always forward – improving processes, strengthening culture, and creating opportunities for the people around him.

He believes in extreme ownership, a principle that has shaped the way Better Path Homes operates. Wins are shared. Mistakes are learned from. And every challenge is met with the same question: What’s the next right step?

A Culture Built on Service

Ask anyone on the team what Zach cares about most, and you’ll hear the same answer: people. The homeowners who trust Better Path Homes with their biggest decisions. The team members who show up every day ready to serve. The communities where the company builds and renovates.

Zach’s leadership has created a culture where doing good business and doing good for people are not separate ideas – they’re the same mission.

Outside the Office

When he’s not leading the company, Zach is a devoted husband and father, an outdoors enthusiast, and someone who genuinely enjoys a good project – whether that’s tackling a renovation, exploring a new trail, or spending time with his family.

Looking Ahead

Under Zach’s leadership, Better Path Homes continues to grow with intention – expanding markets, strengthening partnerships, and building a team that reflects the values he lives out every day.

Zach doesn’t chase the spotlight, but his impact is felt in every part of the company. Better Path Homes is what it is today because of the standard he sets: lead with integrity, serve with heart, and always choose the better path.
